The Corpus Christi Independent School District held a special press conference yesterday to announce and celebrate the district's 38th Annual Teacher of the Year. The event took place at the CCISD Administration Building and was attended by district leaders, principals, colleagues, family and friends of the honoree.
After opening remarks by the Superintendent, the 2024 Teacher of the Year for Elementary was Maria Alvarado and Secondary Teacher of the Year was Jane Lee-Rhodes!
As Teacher of the Year, Maria Alvarado and Jane Lee-Rhodes will represent the district at various events over the next year and be CCISD's nominees for the statewide Teacher of the Year.
