Students across the district have completed preparations for the STAAR testing season. As testing days approached, schools celebrated students’ and teachers’ dedication.

Sam Houston Elementary kicked off with an incredible show of talent and school spirit, with help from the Baker Middle School Baker Belles and the Ray High School Drumline. The Baker Belles, with their impeccable routines, and the Texan drumline, with their rhythmic beats, captivated everyone and set a lively tone. In addition to showcasing student talent, the support demonstrated the strong ties among feeder schools.

Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez shared inspiring words of encouragement that resonated with students. His message focused on the importance of perseverance, hard work, and the belief in one's abilities.
