Corpus Christi ISD is pleased with preliminary STAAR scores for grades three through eight and high school End-of-Course (EOC) exams, with results demonstrating that the district is making significant growth that leads the region and the state.

Highlights include:

  • Strong districtwide growth in all EOC subjects, with the most substantial growth in Algebra I and Biology. English I, English II and U.S. History also increased performance from 2025.

  • Student performance in elementary 4th and 5th grades and middle school 6th, 7th, and 8th grades showed the strongest year-over-year gains in Mathematics and Reading Language Arts.

  • CCISD outperformed Region 2 and the state in 4th, 5th and 7th grades Mathematics as well as 5th grade Reading Language Arts.

  • CCISD surpassed several large urban districts, most notably in Mathematics and Reading Language Arts.

“We are so proud to see our students making significant, academic gains,” said Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez. “Along with our school board, I commend our teachers, campus teams and district staff who collaborated every step of the way to provide an exemplary public education for the benefit of all students.”

Elementary and middle school science results will be released at a later date. The district anticipates receiving final scores in August. CCISD looks forward to welcoming students to a new school year on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
