🎉 Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight: Mr. Santiago Hernandez 🎉 As we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month and head into intercession, Cunningham at South Park Middle School is proud to honor our amazing Safety Officer, Mr. Santiago Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez has not only worked to keep our school safe, but he has also been an active leader in the Hispanic community here in Corpus Christi. A talented Mariachi musician for many years, Mr. Hernandez has shared the rich cultural traditions of our heritage through music. 🎶🎻 Additionally, he has participated in local marches advocating for Hispanic rights and has even researched numerous local Hispanic cases, helping shine a light on important issues in our community. We are deeply grateful for Mr. Hernandez's contributions both at Cunningham and in our city. Thank you for your dedication and passion! 🎉 #HispanicHeritageMonth #WolfpackPride #HispanicAdvocate

Some of our wolf scientists spend the day at the beach using surveying equipment to collect data on coastline erosion of coastal areas with a University of Texas Geologist. Students also measured wind and wave speed and direction. Finally students measured the wet/dry line using GPS devices. All the data the students collected will be used in actual research and studies of Texas Coastal Erosion. A special Thanks to the Island Whataburger for surprising our wolves with lunch!!!! 🍔!!!!

7th grade scientists started out the week making observations on three different concentrations of lemonade. Today they studied other aqueous solutions and compared their concentrations while diluting the samples in a mini lab station, they drew evidence from graphs and created a visual story board of the data, and used AVID strategies, marking the text, to help answer questions about a short reading passage. Way to go Wolfpack! 🐺⭐️🥼🧪🧑🏽‍🔬
