Howl of Pride for Our TAME State Competitors!
Two of our incredible Wolves recently represented us at the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME) State Engineering Competition! Out of thousands of students across Texas, only 250 advanced to the state level—and our very own Layla-Faye Cantu was part of the 1st Place team for the Engineering Mindset Challenge!
This year’s challenge took students to Mars, where they faced a critical mission: after losing communication with NASA, they had to engineer a device to send a coded signal back to Earth. Their success was proven by unlocking a mission box—proving they’d re-established contact!
We are so proud of Layla-Faye and our other competing Wolf for their creativity, teamwork, and STEM excellence. We can’t wait to see what next year’s competition brings as we dive into the history of energy technology.
Way to go, Wolves! Keep reaching for the stars—literally!
