Dear Parents/Guardians and Campus Staff,
We are aware of recent concerns regarding overcrowding on the Lexington MS school bus route. The safety and comfort of our students remain our top priority, and we take this matter very seriously.
Immediate Actions Taken:
• Transportation services have been notified, and route adjustments are underway to balance student loads.
• Temporary route measures have been implemented to alleviate crowding while long-term solutions are being implemented. (A second bus has been added to accommodate the overload of students).
Please know that the transportation department is working diligently to implement permanent adjustments as quickly as possible.
Ongoing Communication:
Further updates will be communicated through the district’s automated notification system and the district and transportation department’s website to ensure families and staff remain informed of changes.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we resolve this matter. Our goal is to ensure that every student travels to and from school safely and comfortably.
If you have any immediate concerns, please contact the Office of Transportation at (361) 695-7610.
Sincerely,
Kyle Pelichet
