Meet Albert D. Keever Jr.! Albert attended Driscoll Middle School and Miller High School. He is a Chief Medical Non-Commissioned Officer, 1st Infantry Division, in the U.S. Army.
"While my education provided important academic knowledge, one of the most valuable lessons I gained was the importance of work ethic, discipline, and perseverance. CCISD helped instill in me the understanding that success is earned through dedication, consistency, and a willingness to work hard, values that have guided me throughout my life. Those lessons became the cornerstone of my 23 years of military service, where I rose through the ranks to achieve the rank of Sergeant Major, a distinction held by less than 1% of the Army’s enlisted force. Reaching this level required unwavering commitment, resilience, and leadership, qualities that were first developed during my formative years at CCISD."

Saahil, a second-year member of Education in Action Lone Star Leadership Academy Alumni Council, completed his service project "Wrapped with Care." Through a student-led donation drive, Saahil organized and collected 105 blankets and 178 pairs of socks for Mission 911.
“I discovered that stepping up to organize a project takes real responsibility, but it helped me grow as a leader and I feel proud in helping people in need within my community,” Saahil said.
Way to go, Saahil! 👏

Across the district, students are staying engaged through hands-on activities, enrichment opportunities and fun learning. Thank you to our dedicated staff and students for showing up, working hard and making summer learning a success!

Meet Joe Escobar! Joe attended Meadowbrook Elementary School, Cullen Place Middle School and King High School. He is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Corpus Christi.
"My time at CCISD played an important role in preparing me for my career and adult life. It helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, time management, and accountability at an early age. I was encouraged to set goals, take initiative, and carry myself in a professional way, which gave me a solid foundation as I moved into college and my career. Those experiences helped shape my work ethic and gave me the confidence to step into professional environments and adapt quickly."
