Yesterday, Dawson staff and CCISD administration celebrated the official opening of the campus' new addition and new library. 🏫📚 Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate. Special thanks to the Education Service Center, Region 2 The library is part of the LEARN IT grant funding that was awarded to ESC, Region 2.

📅 Intersession information 🏫
Oct. 11 is a student holiday. There is no school. Intersession is from Oct. 14-18. There is no school. Classes resume on Oct. 21.
Corpus Christi ISD has named Maria Cavazos Director for Special Programs and Support.
Cavazos, who most recently served as an Instructional Technology Specialist, will oversee the district’s bilingual education program, early childhood education, health and physical education and JROTC.
Cavazos earned a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Educational Technology and a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, bilingual generalist, both from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Additionally, she has extensive experience supporting teachers and students, and previously served as a bilingual teacher.
“Ms. Cavazos brings a wealth of experience and commitment to teachers and students,” said Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez. “We look forward to her leadership.”
Help us name our newest middle school! 🏫 The school under construction near Creekside Elementary School will welcome students in August 2025.
