The Texas Education Agency has shared the Spring 2026 STAAR End-of-Course test results. These tests include Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History. Results for STAAR tests in grades 3–8 will be available on June 16, 2026. On June 16, parents and families can see their child’s test scores online.

During their June 8 meeting, CCISD’s board of trustees approved the district’s 2026-2027 budget, a $368 million package that includes raises for all eligible permanent employees, including market adjustments to the minimum, midrange and maximum pay grades, the first such adjustment since the 2021-2022 school year.

Students can take advantage of flexible virtual learning, electronic coursework, and on-campus college opportunities through CCISD Early College High Schools in partnership with Del Mar College. Families are invited to attend an upcoming information meeting either virtually or in person at Collegiate High School’s St. Clair Building, 101 Baldwin Blvd.

They competed against students from more than 40 states and dozens of countries, won the Give & Take Service Learning Challenge and earned the highest Instant Challenge Score. 🎉 Congratulations!

We are #CCISDproud of recent Miller High School graduate and ROTC student Cody. He was recently recognized by the City of Corpus Christi and the mayor for his actions in helping rescue a woman from a burning home in March. Cody will leave to serve in the U.S. Army in the fall.

Meet Cynthia De La Rosa! She attended Menger Elementary School, Wynn Seale Academy and Foy H. Moody High School. She is the School of Arts, Media and Communication Events Specialist at TAMU-CC.
"Throughout my years in CCISD, I learned responsibility, discipline, and how to stay committed even when things became challenging. It also helped me build confidence in myself, taught me how to communicate effectively, and showed me the importance of hard work and perseverance—skills I continue to use every day. Each of my teachers impacted me in different ways, but they all shared one thing in common: they truly cared. Because of them, I learned how powerful it is to invest in others, and that is something I carry with me as I continue to grow in my own journey."

Corpus Christi ISD Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez has been named the Education Service Center, Region 2 Superintendent of the Year.
As the Region 2 recipient, Dr. Hernandez will now advance to compete for the Texas Superintendent of the Year award. The award recognizes superintendents who demonstrate exceptional leadership in improving student achievement, improving the quality of education in their districts and fostering public support and community involvement in education.
In 2024, Dr. Hernandez was named Superintendent of the Year by the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association. He was also a state finalist for the Texas Association of School Boards Superintendent of the Year award in 2020.
“This recognition is a testament to Dr. Hernandez’s exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the students, staff and families of CCISD,” said Board President Dolly Gonzales Trolley. “We are proud to see his work recognized at the regional level and wish him the very best as he advances in the Texas Superintendent of the Year competition.”
Dr. Hernandez was named the Superintendent of CCISD in 2014 and has nearly 30 years of administrative experience. He earned his bachelor's degree from Texas State University, his master’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and his doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.
State finalists for the Texas Superintendent of the Year award will be announced in the fall.
