Meet Kara Rodriguez! Kara attended Woodlaw Elementary School, Paul R. Haas Middle School and King High School. She is serving in the U.S. Coast Guard at Sector Corpus Christi.
"My time in CCISD was important because I felt I had a strong support system. The teachers truly care for the students and gave us many opportunities to become successful. I appreciate my royalette coach Ms. Lopez, who gave me grace and patience as I dealt with a difficult personal matter. Now in the Coast Guard, I volunteer with recruiting, talking with the students of CCISD, and sharing opportunities."

The annual event honors businesses, organizations, and individuals who have made significant contributions to CCISD through dedicated service, impactful partnerships, and volunteerism. Board President Dolly Gonzales Trolley led the ceremony, extending heartfelt thanks and recognition to all honorees and attendees for their unwavering support of CCISD students and staff.

🍎Early Childhood Support Award: Corpus Christi Fire Department
🍎Extracurricular Support Award: Casa Cristal Realty
🍎Elementary School Support Award: RBFCU
🍎Middle School Support Award: Summit Electric Supply
🍎High School Support Award: Sergeant Harold Mallory – Texas Highway Patrol
Each recipient was nominated by CCISD schools and departments in recognition of their extraordinary efforts to enrich student learning and school environments. The event featured student presenters from across multiple grade levels, who had the honor of introducing the award recipients and expressing appreciation on behalf of CCISD for their commitment and service.

Meet Alma Leticia Garcia! Alma attended Lexington Elementary, South Park Junior High and Carroll High School. She is a retired CCISD educator.
"My time with CCISD certainly prepared me for my career and adult life. I learned responsibility, determination and leadership through my classes. A teacher who impacted my life was Mr. Ayala, Spanish teacher at Carroll High School. He allowed me to be his teaching assistant. I learned how to work patiently with students and how to grade fairly."
